Purposes and legal bases of processing
We collect and process your personal data for the following purposes:
Inviting our customers to exhibitions and events. We send invitations via e-mail based on our legitimate interest in accordance with Article 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, in conjunction with Sec. 7 para. 3 UWG (Unfair Competition Act) We have an interest in presenting our products and in preparing for meetings focused on the needs of our customers and other stakeholders. To do so, we use your e-mail address which we already have saved. We will never share your data with third parties.

Contacting potential customers / cold calling. We contact potential customers by regular mail and by phone based on our legitimate interest in accordance with Article 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. We have an interest in marketing our services and products. To do so, we use publicly accessible information regarding your company, generally obtained from the internet. We will never share your data with third parties. You can always object to the use of your data for these purposes via e-mail to datenschutz@engmatec.de.
Initiating and carrying out the business relationship. This includes both performing a contract and using data to prepare offers. Data processing is carried out based on Article 6 para. 1 b) GDPR (performance of a contract).
Durchführung von Bewerbungsverfahren, soweit dies für die Entscheidung über die Begründung eines Beschäftigungsverhältnisses mit uns erforderlich ist. Rechtsgrundlage ist dabei Artikel 88 DSGVO in Verbindung mit § 26 Abs. 1 in Verbindung mit Abs. 8 S. 2 BDSG. Stellen wir Bewerber ein, können wir gemäß § 26 Abs. 1 BDSG die bereits erhaltenen personenbezogenen Daten weiterverarbeiten, wenn dies für die Zwecke des Beschäftigungsverhältnisses erforderlich ist. Die Daten abgelehnter Bewerber speichern wir zur evtl. Abwehr von geltend gemachten Rechtsansprüchen aus dem Bewerbungsverfahren bis 6 Monate nach Zugang der Absage in Textform auf Grundlage des Artikel 6 Abs. 1 f) DSGVO. Unser berechtigtes Interesse ist eine mögliche Beweispflicht in einem Verfahren nach dem Allgemeinen Gleichbehandlungsgesetz (AGG). Eine darüberhinausgehende Speicherung erfolgt nur mit ausdrücklicher Zustimmung des Bewerbers.
Transmission of data

Transfer of data within the Schauenburg Group
We pass on supplier data to our affiliated companies strictly for a specific purpose and only to the extent necessary. The transmission and processing of personal data of suppliers within the Schauenburg International Group of companies is carried out for internal administrative purposes as well as for the identification of synergies and cooperation potentials within the group. The legal basis for the processing of personal data in connection with the data transfer is Art. 6, paragraph 1, page 1, GDPR (recital 48), whereby our legitimate interest results from the previously mentioned purposes.
Storage of your data
We process your data for as long as this is necessary for the applicable purpose. If statutory retention obligations apply – for instance under commercial law or tax law – then the relevant personal data is stored for as long as the retention obligation exists. After the end of the retention obligation, we review whether it is necessary to process the data any further. If this is no longer necessary, then the data is deleted.
In general, we review data to determine whether further processing is needed at the end of each calendar year.
What rights do you have in relation to the processing of your data
REVOKING YOUR CONSENT TO DATA PROCESSING
Some data processing procedures can only be carried out with your express consent. You can revoke consent once you have granted it at any time. To do so, simply send an e-mail to datenschutz@engmatec.de. There are no formal requirements for this e-mail. The legality of data processing carried out up until you revoke your consent remains unaffected by the revocation.
INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR DATA
You have the right to receive information regarding which of your personal data is processed by us, and the right to request a copy of this data. This information will include: The purposes of processing, data categories, data recipients or categories of recipients and, if possible, the planned length of time for which data will be stored or the criteria for determining this term.
RECTIFICATION, DELETION, RESTRICTION
In addition, if the data is incorrect, you are entitled to request that it be corrected. If data has been stored improperly, you are entitled to request that the data be deleted. If it is not possible to delete the data for various reasons, you are entitled to request that the processing or storage of your data be restricted.
RIGHT TO OBJECT
If processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR (balancing of interests), you have the right to object to the processing of this data at any time. In this case, we will no longer process this personal data unless we can show we have mandatory and protected grounds that outweigh your protected interests. Or, will do so unless we can show the processing is necessary to assert, exercise, or defend against legal claims.
RIGHT TO DATA PORTABILITY
You have the right to have data that we process in an automated fashion based on your consent or in order to fulfill a contract transmitted to yourself or a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request that data be transmitted directly to another controller, we will only do so if this is technically feasible.
