Case study
EOL test for car key
Keyless Go is a common feature in modern cars. To trust this feature, the function and security of the car key must of course be ensured. One of our customers required a fully automatic test system to fulfill this purpose. This system was to test both the integrated PCB (front end) and the fully assembled key (back end).

services
ENGMATEC developed an efficient EOL solution that verifies the functions of the keyless entry system in a shielded and reproducible test environment. To verify the assembly and ensure handling comfort, a precise haptic test is performed for each individual key. This test is conducted in a particularly space-saving way in the rotary indexing table. A visual inspection verifies the quality of the keys.
The products are also tested in certified interference-free test chambers to ensure high-frequency and ultra-wideband functionality – on two tracks for a short cycle time. This ensures both communication functions and theft protection.
