Safety

High safety standard with customizable safety concept through RADAR

Advanced radar technology

FLEXIMATE takes safety to a new level with its advanced radar technology. It precisely detects who or what is in the working area and reliably distinguishes between stationary and moving objects. Thanks to the automatic fast restart, FlexiMate ensures efficiency and continuity. Example: An operator enters the safety area and places an object. Depending on the defined area, the robot slows down or stops completely. After the person leaves, the system identifies the object as stationary and resumes operation automatically within 4 seconds. Yellow area: Robot switches to safe, reduced speed. Red area: Downtime

User-friendly interface

FLEXIMATE is characterized by a user-friendly interface and simple, intuitive programming, enabling effective work without in-depth knowledge. Pre-installed settings ensure seamless integration and simplify operation significantly.

No specialized programming required

FLEXIMATE combines the precision and performance of an industrial robot with collaborative functions. It’s commonly used for handling printed circuit boards, where the sharp edges of the boards make it function similarly to an industrial robot. However, FLEXIMATE does not require specialized programming. With its hybrid function, the system can also act as a collaborative robot for handling complex workpieces if needed.

High adaptability

FLEXIMATE is designed to adapt precisely to individual production requirements. Our services go beyond providing an automation solution; we offer comprehensive situation analyses to ensure optimal integration into your production environment. We develop custom workflows to maximize production efficiency and design specific grippers as needed. Safety analyses form the basis of a well-planned design, ensuring smooth and secure operation.

  • Base frame with adjustable feet
  • Centering bracket
  • Shelf
  • Presence sensor for KLT (small load carriers)
Automatic material supply from 1 magazine + NiO deposit

With the LM-1M loading and unloading station, PCBs are fed from the magazine to the robot via a conveyor system.
The magazine is changed manually using a pull-out magazine platform.
NiO deposit for ejecting bad parts into a box consisting of:

  • Base frame with adjustable feet
  • Tray with centering bracket
  • Presence sensor for KLT (small load carrier)
Automatic material supply from 3 magazines + NiO deposit

The LM-3M loading and unloading station feeds PCBs from the magazine to the robot via a conveyor system.
The PCBs are pulled from the respective magazine onto the conveyor belt.
The machine has a capacity of 3 magazines.
NiO tray for ejecting bad parts into a box consisting of:

  • Base frame with adjustable feet
  • Tray
  • Presence sensor for KLT
Tray shelf left, storage right on AMR

Tray shelf consisting of:

  • Base frame with adjustable feet
  • Centering bracket

AMR (Autonomous mobile robot)
Connection of AMR/AGV for loading or unloading
All common AMR/AGVs with various interface communications (e.g. via WIFI) can be connected

Belt circulation with goods carriers

A product is handled using a product carrier via a conveyor system.
Existing systems can be used in the brownfield.
Advantages: Fast cycle times, high self-sufficiency, any following process connection possible.

Double belt strap with tray feeder

A product is handled using trays (thermoformed or one-way packaging).
Use in electronics and for other sensitive products (use of industry-standard feeders).
Existing systems can be used.
Advantages: Fast cycle times, high self-sufficiency, any subsequent process connection possible.

Supply or discharge using a blister belt

Tape feeders offer fast and reliable feeding and unloading of components with blister tapes.
Used in electronics and for other sensitive products that need to be protected from environmental influences, e.g. controller chips (use of industry-standard feeders).
Existing systems can be used.
Advantages: Fast cycle times, high self-sufficiency, any following process connection possible.

Bulk material

Supply of unsorted parts by using a camera system.
Products are fed in as bulk goods and taken from the KLT or similar into an orderly position.
Precision & speed: Thanks to advanced sensor technology and intelligent algorithms, our system detects and grips objects quickly and accurately.

Parallel Gripper

Servo-electric gripper with coded changeover system and individual product gripper jaws.

Suction Gripper

Vacuum gripper with ejector or with Venturi suction mechanism.

Bernoulli Gripper

Floating suction cups enable low-contact handling of thin and sensitive workpieces, such as film, substrate plates, paper, or solar cells.

Individual Vacuum Gripper

Custom vacuum gripper, e.g., for bin-picking.

Customized Parallel Gripper

Product-specific design of a parallel gripper, e.g., with rubberized surface.

Work Table with Test Adapters

The automated test station can be used to test printed circuit boards or other products efficiently. The example features an integrated HF test chamber for high-frequency testing. The combination of a vacuum suction gripper for tray handling and a parallel gripper for insertion into the test fixture ensures a self-sufficient system with high precision and speed.
The tray is carried away via a connected AGV/AMR. Defined safety zones using radar sensors.
The workstation can be used for a wide range of applications, e.g., general pick-and-place handling for products of all types. Connection to various processes possible.

Bin Picking with Camera System

The bulk goods are supplied from a small load carrier.
FlexiMate uses an advanced camera system to detect disordered parts in KLTs or on shelves and grips them precisely and quickly. This allows effective handling even in complex environments without the need to pre-organize the parts.

Testing Directly on the Base Module

For the leanest possible integration, test processes can be connected directly to the base module. Instead of just for material handling, the space here is used directly for the testing process by inserting PCBs or other products into the test adapter and testing them there. This keeps the workflow efficient, and testing is integrated directly into the existing process chain without requiring additional space. This saves time and optimizes your production processes.
