What data is collected when I visit our website?
When you access our website without using the contact form, we only collect the personal data that your web browser sends to the server. This is information that does not identify you personally. The collection and temporary storage of the IP address is necessary to enable our website to be displayed on your terminal.
The access logs of the Web servers record when and which pages were accessed. They contain the following data: IP, directory protection user, date, time, pages viewed, logs, status code, data volume, referrer, user agent, host name visited.
The IP addresses are stored anonymously. The last three digits are removed, i.e. 127.0.0.1 becomes 127.0.0.*. IPv6 addresses are also anonymized. The anonymous IP addresses are kept for 60 days. Information about the directory protection user used is anonymized after one day.
Error logs that record incorrect page views are deleted after seven days. In addition to the error messages, these logs contain the IP address accessing the page and, depending on the error, the website called up.
The mail logs for sending e-mails from the web environment are anonymized after one day and then kept for 60 days. During anonymization, all data about the sender/recipient etc. is removed. Only the data at the time of sending and the information on how the e-mail was processed are retained (queue ID or not sent).
Legal basis of data processing
To be able to offer you our website and the associated services, we process personal data in accordance with the following legal principles:
- Consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR)
- To fulfil contracts (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR
- On the basis of a consideration of interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR)
- To fulfil a legal obligation (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c) GDPR)
In connection with the respective processing, we will refer to the corresponding terms so that you can classify the basis on which we process personal data.
If personal data is processed with your consent, you have the right to revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future.
If we process data in accordance with a consideration of interests, you as the data subject have the right to object to the processing of personal data, taking into account the provisions of Art. 21 GDPR.
We offer a contact form on our website that you can use to request information about our products or services or to make general contact. We have marked the data that you must provide in order to answer a query as mandatory fields. Information on other data fields is voluntary.
We need this information to process your query, contact you correctly and provide you with an answer. The processing of data takes place in the case of concrete queries to fulfill a contract or initiation of a contract. In the case of general inquiries, the processing takes place based on a consideration of interests.
Queries received via the contact form on our website are processed electronically by us in order to answer your query. In this context, other persons or departments and third parties may also become aware of the form contents that you have sent.
In order to protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption procedures via HTTPS.
In the domain of web analysis, however, we also use so-called persistent cookies which are not automatically deleted after a visit to our website has ended.
You have the option to block the setting of cookies by making the appropriate adjustments in your browser. However, we would like to point out that the use of our Internet pages may be restricted. Cookies do not install or start any programs or other applications on your computer.
This website uses the web analytics tool "Google Analytics", a service provided by Google Ireland Limited. The purpose of this service is to "tailor" this website to the needs of the user, which is carried out on the basis of a consideration of interests. Web analysis also enables us to detect and correct errors on the website, e.g. due to incorrect links. Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies". These are text files which are stored on your computer and which enable an analysis of your use of the website. So-called "client IDs" are used, which serve to create pseudonymous usage profiles that jointly record the use of the Internet pages by desktop computers and mobile terminals by a user.
The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website will generally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. However, because we have enabled the so-called IP anonymization on this website and have entered into a contract with Google to process your IP address, Google will first shorten your IP address within countries of the European Union or other signatories of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
Google in the USA is certified according to the so-called "Privacy Shield" (list entry). Google guarantees an adequate level of data protection.
By downloading and installing the browser plug-in available in the following link (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en), you can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and data related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and Google from processing this data.
Alternatively, especially on mobile terminals, you can prevent Google Analytics from capturing data by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will then be set to prevent your data from being collected in the future when you visit this website:
Google web fonts
We use the so-called Google Web Fonts on our Internet pages. In the process, Google loads fonts from servers that serve to improve the design of the website. The data processing takes place according to the consideration of interests, whereby our interest lies in an appealing design of the website.
These fonts are downloaded from Google's servers, which are usually located in the United States. Google guarantees an adequate level of data protection ("Privacy Shield" list entry).
Google Ajax & jQuery
This site uses some Ajax and jQuery technologies. For this purpose, corresponding program libraries are called from Google's servers. However, we would like to point out that external servers of Google in the USA can be accessed through this use. Unfortunately, we currently do not know whether Google logs this server request and uses it further. But we assume that the Google data protection information also applies in this respect. Your IP address will therefore be stored for a period of several months in any case.
Use of Google Maps
On our website we use "Google Maps", an online map service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter referred to as "Google"). This enables us to show you interactive maps directly on the website and enables you to conveniently use the map function. When you visit our website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. Your IP address will be transmitted. This takes place regardless of whether Google provides a user account that you are logged into or whether there is no user account. If you are logged in at Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account. If you do not want your profile to be associated with Google, you will need to log out in advance. Google stores your data as user profiles and uses them for advertising, market research and / or design of the website. Such evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide demand-oriented advertising and to inform other users about your activities on our website.
We use Google Maps to provide you with the interactive maps offered by Google Maps so that you can have a better experience on our website. This is also our legitimate interest.
You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles by contacting Google.
Google has signed and certified a privacy shield agreement with the European Union and the United States. This means that Google is committed to complying with the standards and regulations of European data protection law. Purposes of processing personal data
We process the aforementioned data for the operation of our website and for the fulfilment of contractual obligations towards our customers or for the protection of our legitimate interests.
In case of inquiries from you outside of an active customer relationship, we process the data for the purposes of sales and advertising. You can object to the use of your personal data for advertising purposes at any time.
If you voluntarily provide us with data, e.g. in forms, and these are not necessary for the fulfilment of our contractual obligations, we process these data under the justified assumption that the processing and use of these data is beneficial to you.
Receiving/forwarding of data
Data that you provide to us will not be passed on to third parties. Specifically, your data will not be passed on to third parties for their advertising purposes.
However, we may use service providers for the operation of these Internet pages or for other products or services from us. In such cases, it may happen that a service provider becomes aware of personal data. We select our service providers carefully - particularly with regard to data protection and data security - and take all measures required under data protection law for permissible data processing.
Data processing outside the European Union
If personal data is processed outside the European Union, you will find this in the previous remarks.
Your rights as a "data subject"

Finally, you have the right to object to the processing within the scope of the statutory provisions.
A right to data transferability also exists within the framework of data protection regulations.
You have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of personal data by us.
Deletion of data
As a rule, we delete personal data when there is no need for further storage. There may be a need to keep such data especially if it is still required in order to perform contractual services or to check and grant or defend against warranty claims. In case of legal retention obligations, deletion shall only be considered after the respective retention obligation has expired
