Function testing system with magnetic field shielding

Testing and handling system for subjecting various automotive access authorisation control modules to functional testing at the end of the production process. Subsequent sorting into "GOOD" and "BAD" products with appropriate identification.


System design
  • Magnetic-field-absorbing test cell
  • Servo-driven linear slides with interchangeable test item carriers
  • Test item carriers for holding various control modules
  • Pneumatic X-Z handling for removing and putting down test items
  • "GOOD" test items marked with cold embossing unit and thermal transfer printing
  • "BAD" test items marked with label
  • Conveyor belt for channelling out "BAD" test items
  • Test station controlled by Siemens S7-300 with OP7 text display
  • Interface to test system
