ENGMATEC Smart Contact Cell works with equipment carriers which move over and under one another. This enables test items to be fed in and removed in parallel which considerably reduces handling times.
The operator manually places the equipment to be tested on an equipment carrier and closes a cover. The equipment carrier is then automatically transported into the test position by the ENGMATEC tandem shuttle, and the test item moved forward by the connecting platform. At the same time, a second equipment carrier with a tested product is transported back into the insertion position where it is ready for reloading. If the result of the test was not OK, the insertion flap is locked and the test item can only be removed after pressing the acknowledge button.
The transportation and connection time is approximately 3 seconds!
The extremely fast changeover of interchangeable units makes the test equipment particularly flexible.
